About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Buyer to manage procurement activities across Canada and support North American operations. This role will act as a Procurement Subject Matter Expert (SME), driving sourcing strategies, vendor management, and cost optimization while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing activities
• Conduct market analysis across indirect spend categories
• Manage RFX processes and negotiate contracts with suppliers
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors
• Drive cost savings and improve procurement processes
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and risk controls
• Collaborate with legal teams on contract terms and agreements
• Track sourcing activities and report on procurement performance
• Support procurement transformation initiatives and tools

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing roles
• Strong expertise in strategic sourcing and category management
• Proven experience in contract negotiations and vendor management
• Ability to manage stakeholders across multiple regions
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Ivalua, Beeline)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Bilingual in English and French
