About your team

ISS Delivery provides the design and delivery of all changes in business processes and/or technology solutions that support the growth for Fidelity’s Global Investment Solutions & Services business. We support Investment Management, Asset Management Operations and Distribution teams primarily located in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Toronto, Australia, Singapore and China.

About your role
Fidelity is embarking on a number of strategic programmes of work that will create an end-to-end solution to enable the next evolutionary stage of our Distribution Business. The client reporting operation team in Fidelity typically involves the creation, management, and delivery of detailed reports that provide clients with insights into their investments and portfolio performance, attribution and risk profile. They will also ensure all necessary information are shared and provided to clients for them to make informed decisions on their investments.

As the Business Analyst within the client report technology team, you will play a key role working with client reporting operations team globally to deliver an end-to-end solution to support a strategic and efficient operating environment/system to deliver best in class client reports to our institutional and retail customers.

Working alongside multiple stakeholders you will need to elicit business requirement, design and specify report layout, identify strategic data from multiple internal and external data sources, ensure data quality and oversee the successful delivery of features to meet various demands from the client report business across multiple reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in business analysis tasks, work with stakeholders to identify, analyze and document project requirements and structure work accordingly.
  • Produce high quality documentation, including requirements, analysis, processes flows and data mapping.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand current-state challenges, root causes and future state requirements and to develop detailed future-state designs.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders including architects, engineers, and analysts across regions to design solutions with global consistency.
  • Communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively use new tools, systems and processes.
  • Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, and managing project tasks and deliverables to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Contribute to the global Business Analysis Chapter.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Fluency in Japanese and English, including the ability to conduct business conversations and professional documents
  • Degree major in Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in the financial or asset management industry (or related field).
  • Working knowledge of structured database and proficiency in writing SQL queries
  • Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiar with Agile development methodology
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with counterparts (architects, engineers and other analysts) across geographical locations
