Job Description

Our Client a multi-national Investment Bank is looking to hire a Lead Business Analyst

They are looking for a high performer to join our Pune team in the Calypso development. The Calypso development team is heavily aligned with all key departments participating in the FICC and EQD business, like the Front Office, Operations. Production Control, Finance, Risk Management, etc, to deliver solutions, resolve issues, provide suggestions on configurations, and develop new features.

They follow a full-stack development methodology, and manages the business needs from front to back. We work with our counterparties in other departments and other geographies. The successful candidates will be working in a high-energy, dynamic, and multicultural environment. They would be mentally challenged to design creative solutions for problems, drive performance, and reduce operating costs for the business. This is also a great opportunity for technically highly qualified applicants to get greater understanding of the FICC and EQD business by engaging directly with users.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and record business requirements from diverse stakeholders, making sure to clearly comprehend their needs and goals and convert them into comprehensive functional specifications for communication with the development team.
  • Lead requirement gathering with the business stakeholders and propose suitable solutions
  • Collaborate with development teams, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure that the technical solution aligns with the functional specifications and meets the defined requirements.
  • Configure Calypso using existing functions to deliver solutions that meet business requirements
  • Perform functional test of Calypso for patches and new functions and document test cases
  • Investigate and resolve issues escalated by the production support team related to Calypso configuration or functions
  • Help with Project Management tasks and coordinate with various user departments
  • Migrate business services from other systems to Calypso
  • Other tasks related to projects as directed by the manager


Skills and Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in business analysis or software development in the banking/finance sector
  • 4 years of experience working in a role related to Equity Derivatives or FICC business
  • At least 3 years of recent experience in Calypso systems. Exposure to V14 and above is preferred.
  • Proficiency in products like options, FX and swaps
  • Understanding of front-to-back office business processes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of QA best practices
  • Very strong attention to details, can work independently
  • Good communication skills in English

Requirements

  • Knowledge of P&L calculation and market data
  • Knowledge of pricing models is a good bonus
  • Track Record in Project Management

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with Honor (or equivalent) or above, preferably in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering or an IT related discipline from a prestigious institution.
