Job Description

About the role:

BPA responsibilities over ~$740m Global Finance Function P&L. Lead all BPA activities within Finance Function, directly supporting Finance BPA Senior Manager and providing insightful and value-added analysis and decision support to the business leadership by managing the cost base as well as providing business partnering support.

Key Requirements:

  • Lead the development and preparation of detailed budget / financial forecasts / Strategic plans for the Function
  • Manage the execution of Finance function and selected Sub-Functions strategies and correct and timely implementation of BPA processes and policies and ensure adherence thereof
  • Deliver core management reporting and financial planning processes to ensure the effective and timely delivery of insightful, recurring or ad-hoc financial information through complex cost analysis covering multiple countries, regions and global Finance teams
  • Proactively drive performance and carry out value-added analyses on financial data: Functional Expenses, Other Income and Expenses, End to End Finance business partnering for selected Finance Sub-Functions
  • Work closely with selected Finance Sub-Function leaders and stakeholders in driving performance to be in line with budgets / agreed Targets
  • Month close analysis and explanation of variances. Deck preparations
  • Ensure consistency of a consolidated view of Full Finance Function with all Finance Sub Functions during Planning exercise and Month End Closing reporting process.

Essential Requirements:

  • University Degree (Master or higher) in Finance & Accounting or similar business degree/MBA desirable
  • Chartered Accountant or similar
  • 10+ years of finance experience within pharmaceutical industry at country and HQ levels

  • Shows strong sense of urgency in solving problems, especially in short timelines during close or forecasting cycles
  • Maturity to deal with matters of confidentiality and sensitivity and work effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to foster a constructive, yet challenging dialogue.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to clearly present financial and relevant data
  • Outstanding ability to collaborate across matrix organization.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, PowerPoint
