Lead Basketball Coach
Pen Argyl, PA | Part Time, Hourly | 2-3 Weekday Evenings and Some Saturdays | $20.00-$23.00 per hour

We are looking for a lead basketball coach to join our team at the Y! We spend our days positively impacting the community around us through athletics. We help children reach their potential, enact age appropriate goals, and we change lives in our Y community.

What is needed for this job:
Knowledge of basketball rules, fundamentals, and skill progression
Ability to work effectively with children of varying ages and skill levels
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to lead by example and promote teamwork and respect
The responsibilities we will trust you with:
Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate basketball practices and games
Teach fundamental basketball skills, rules, and strategies in a positive, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment
Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all participants with a focus on building confidence
Ensure participant safety and follow all organizational policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding program expectations and progress
Assist with program setup, equipment management, and facility care
Model good sportsmanship and serve as a positive role mode
