Role: Lead Backend Engineer (Python)

Our mission is to offer easy-to-use software to empower small, medium, and large companies in their staffing & recruitment transformation to provide solutions to the recruitment world's difficulties and make the entire process simple and enjoyable for recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates alike.

We're looking for an outstanding Lead Backend Engineer to work with a backend team in the continued development of a wide range of features and services within the recruitment sphere. As the team's Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between the business and development ends of our software as a service (SaaS). Our ideal candidate is passionate about building elegant and scalable software and combines superb communication skills and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in shaping the vision and roadmap of the engineering team

• Plan and implement new features and enhancement of existing product features

• Review, merge, and deploy code submitted by other backend team members

• Be prepared to quickly and efficiently investigate, debug, and resolve unforeseen backend issues.

• Coordinate with the Frontend and Product management teams about the status and direction of ongoing projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field.

• Ability to communicate and comprehend high-level spoken and written concepts in English.

• Open to all nationalities.

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in software engineering

• Hands-on experience with Python

• Hands-on experience building scalable APIs

• Hands-on experience in writing automated unit tests

• Possesses a strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Open-minded, humble, self-managing, and a solid team player

• Consistent when mentoring or guiding team members

• Experience with the Django and Flask is a plus, but not required

• Possesses a strong sense of ownership and accountability for each project undertaken

• Passionate about automation and optimization in daily tasks
