Salary range: 200-265 PLN/H

What will you do?

You will join a large-scale enterprise transformation initiative focused on modernizing and enhancing critical business applications. In this role, you will design, develop, integrate, and support enterprise-grade Java microservices while contributing to an AI-enabled software development lifecycle. You will work closely with architects, Tech Leads, QA, SRE, and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions in a complex, highly regulated environment.

Your tasks

• Build, test, release, and support Java microservices and related components
• Contribute to solution design and integration patterns aligned with target architecture and non-functional requirements
• Identify and help resolve technical risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers
• Follow and contribute to engineering standards, CI/CD practices, and quality controls
• Deliver robust unit, integration, and contract testing
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and security reviews
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools while maintaining security, quality, and governance standards
• Apply GenAI development practices including LLM usage, RAG concepts, and agent-based workflows
• Build production-ready services with strong observability and operational readiness
• Support release activities, integrations, and environment readiness
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, platform, and operations teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering excellence

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Python development in enterprise-scale environments
• Good practical knowledge of Java and experience working with Java microservices based on Spring Boot
• Experience working in enterprise-scale environments
• Strong knowledge of Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
• Experience with schema design, performance optimization, and transactional systems
• Strong unit and integration testing experience using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers
• Experience with API and contract testing
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and quality gates
• Knowledge of Jenkins or GitLab
• Understanding of Sonar, SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, messaging, event-driven architectures, and integration patterns
• Experience contributing to technical design decisions and architectural discussions
• Leadership experience and strong collaboration skills
• Practical exposure to GenAI tools and software engineering use cases
• Understanding of LLM concepts, RAG patterns, AI governance, and engineering controls
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and security-by-design principles
• Openness to work hybrid from our client's office (Kraków) 8 days a month

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
• Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes
• Exposure to service mesh technologies
• Experience with observability platforms, logging, metrics, and tracing
• Experience with performance engineering and resilience testing
• Previous experience implementing AI-enabled SDLC practices
• Hands-on experience building RAG solutions or integrating GenAI capabilities
• Experience with prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, or AI governance controls
