LEAD AUDITOR ISCC (INTERNATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY AND CARBON CERTIFICATION) – FREELANCE

Location: Switzerland (with flexible operational base)
Type: Freelance / Independent Consultant
Required Languages: Italian, French and/or German (at least one language)
Availability: Frequent travel to Switzerland

We operate in over 140 countries with multidisciplinary expertise in sustainability, supply chain certification, regulatory compliance and ESG risk management. In the sustainability sector, we support organizations in achieving international ISCC certification standards, supply chain traceability and environmental compliance, with particular focus on circular economy and energy transition.

We are seeking expert Lead Auditors ISCC to conduct sustainability and certification audits at clients in Switzerland. The position requires full autonomy in managing ISCC audits, multilingual communication skills and deep knowledge of sustainable certification systems, supply chain traceability and regulatory compliance.

The professional will operate as an independent consultant, ensuring high-quality audits, verification of compliance with ISCC criteria, identification of non-conformities and formulation of strategic recommendations for improving sustainability performance.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil) or related disciplines
• Lead Auditor ISCC Certification (mandatory)
• Lead Auditor ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 Certification (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years as Lead Auditor ISCC with industrial clients
• Experience conducting audits in Swiss or European organizations
• Knowledge of sectors: biomass, biofuels, sustainable chemicals, food and beverage
• Experience in supply chain traceability and mass balance
• Experience in identification and management of non-conformities

Technical Competencies

• Deep knowledge of ISCC Standards (ISCC PLUS, ISCC EU)
• Knowledge of EU sustainability regulations
• Competence in ESG analysis and sustainability criteria

Languages

• Italian and/or French and/or German (fluent – at least one language mandatory)
• English (preferred)

WORKING CONDITIONS
