LEAD AUDITOR ISO 50001 – FREELANCE

Location: Switzerland (with flexible operational base)
Type: Freelance / Independent Consultant
Required Languages: Italian, French and/or German (at least one language)
Availability: Frequent travel to Switzerland

We operate in over 140 countries with multidisciplinary expertise in energy, sustainability, regulatory compliance and risk management. In the energy sector, we support organizations in achieving international standards for energy efficiency and sustainable management, with particular focus on ISO 50001 and energy compliance.

We are seeking expert Lead Auditors ISO 50001 to conduct energy audits at clients in Switzerland. The position requires full autonomy in managing audits, multilingual communication skills and deep knowledge of energy management systems according to the international standard ISO 50001:2018.

The professional will operate as an independent consultant, ensuring high-quality audits, identification of non-conformities and formulation of strategic recommendations for improving energy performance.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
• Lead Auditor ISO 50001 Certification (mandatory)

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years as Lead Auditor ISO 50001 with industrial/tertiary sector clients
• Experience conducting audits in European organizations

Technical Competencies

• Deep knowledge of ISO 50001:2018
• Knowledge of Swiss energy regulations (Energy Act, Energy Ordinance)
• Knowledge of EU Energy Directives (2012/27/EU, 2023/1791)
• Competence in energy analysis and KPIs
• Use of audit software and document management systems (e.g., Audit Management System)
• Competence in energy measurement tools (where applicable)

Languages

• Italian and/or French and/or German (fluent – at least one language mandatory)
• English (preferred)
