This role is responsible for partnering with business stakeholders, platform vendor, cross-functional team and engineering teams to design scalable solutions, improve process efficiency, and ensure a smooth migration experience for ~4,000 global users.

You will work across Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and related marketplace apps to enable agile delivery, knowledge management, incident/service workflows, and reporting. Experience with Atlassian Cloud features, app rationalization, and macro remediation is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with global teams to gather requirements, assess current usage, and define Cloud platform needs.
  • Lead discovery sessions to identify Data Center dependencies, blocked features, and app-to-app replacements.
  • Support rationalization decisions around marketplace add-ons (e.g., Reporting, Table Filter, Scaffolding, Comala, ScriptRunner).
  • Work closely with vendors on migration planning, macro remediation strategies, and security/compliance impact assessments.
  • Lead and manage projects end-to-end, ensuring successful delivery with ownership and accountability.
  • Assist in building communication and adoption plans for phased Cloud rollout.
  • Design and document Jira workflows, request types, SLAs, forms, and automation rules aligned to operational needs.
  • Configure Confluence spaces, templates, permission models, and lifecycle policies.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes using native Cloud automation and integrations.
  • Support integration patterns between Atlassian products and platforms like Salesforce, Miro, GitLab, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Author FRDs, functional specs, configuration guides, and runbooks.
  • Support user acceptance testing and manage hyper-care post-migration.
  • Provide recommendations on permission schemes, groups, project roles, issue security, and Confluence space governance.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues and work with Atlassian Support to resolve.
  • Analyze usage patterns and recommend improvements for adoption and performance.
  • Provide training, office hours, and knowledge articles for end users and space/project admins.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 8+ years hands-on experience with Atlassian platforms (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence).
  • Experience with marketplace apps such as:
    • ScriptRunner
    • Comala
    • Table Filter & Charts
    • Scaffolding
    • Aura
  • Exposure to migration from Data Center to Cloud (assessment, planning, testing).
  • Strong knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes (permissions, issue type, notification), automations, and SLAs.
  • Strong functional understanding of Confluence structuring, macros, templates, and permissions.
  • Experience documenting requirements, process flows, user stories, test plans, and runbooks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across global teams.
  • Atlassian certifications ACP-620 and ACP-120.
  • Understanding of ITSM frameworks.

Preferred

  • Prior experience rationalizing or replacing legacy macros.
  • Familiarity with API-based integrations (REST).
  • Atlassian certifications ACP-420.
  • Experience with license optimization and cost containment.

About Dolby Laboratories

We're the rain on the roof in a movie. The music flowing through your earbuds when you're at the gym. The footsteps lurking behind you in a video game. The voice of a colleague on a call who seems to be right next to you. The sight of a breathtakingly bright and vivid sunset on your TV.

Making experiences come alive through technology is what we do. It's been our mission since day one.

It began with our founder, Ray Dolby, a visionary scientist and inventor. As a young engineer and music lover, he was driven to improve the listening experience. And with that simple motivation, plus countless hours of experimentation, he created a solution—a solution that was elegant and practical, highly sophisticated, and wholly devoted to the artist's vision. Even as we've become a global company, Dolby Laboratories continues to reflect Ray Dolby's values. Here, science meets art. And high tech goes far beyond computer code.

Founded in 1965 and headquartered in San Francisco, Dolby has grown into a leading global innovator and developer of audio, imaging and voice technologies for cinema, home theaters, PCs, mobile phones, and games. Our products include Dolby Digital Plus, TrueHD, Dolby Voice, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. Today, over 2,000 individuals around the globe share their talents and energy to enable the most immersive experiences that technology can deliver.
