PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Operatemultiplefeedproduction systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Operatemultipleautomatedfeedproductionsystemsinclusiveof batching, pelleting, grinding, and receiving.
• Musthavetheabilitytokeepallrecordsinanorderlyandpresentable manner.
• Recordandreconciledrugandmicro-ingredientinventoriesas required.
• Musthavetheabilitytobecertifiedforforklift operation.
• Performhousekeepingdutiesasassignedby supervision.
• Mustbeabletoperformdutieseffectivelywithminimal supervision.
• Musthavetheabilitytocooperatewithothermillandmaintenance employees, as well as truck drivers.
• Collectfeedsamplesasdirectedby supervision.
• Communicatetosupervisionanyissuesthatinterferewithplant production operations.
• Otherdutiesasassignedby supervision.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Knowledge of feed mill manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply and/or divide proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.)
• Basic computer knowledge and usage skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend
• Ability to lift and carry 50 - 60 lbs
• Constantly subject to dusty, hot environments
• Frequently work in loud environment requiring ear protection
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Ability to work at heights of 200+ ft
• Ability to operate a pallet jack with 2,000+ lbs. of material
