The Lead Anesthesia Tech (LAT) position encompasses both direct patient care as well as supervision of the Anesthesia Tech (AT) team. Direct patient care includes but is not limited to turnover/closing of rooms, equipment maintenance, POCT and all anesthesia workroom responsibilities. Supervision of the AT Team includes ensuring that appropriate AT staffing is met, assistance in hiring and training of techs, providing team in-services and support leadership in evaluating and mentoring ATs. As part of the leadership team, the LAT assists OR managers and anesthesia providers with vendors, trials, and general AT workflow design to fulfil departmental goals.
EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or GED required
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience as an AT preferred, not required. Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and OR workflows. Previous experience in lead or supervisory role preferred, not required. Willingness to complete further training for ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technician or ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technologist.
