About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant to support Branch Banking. This role will leverage advanced analytics, workforce planning, customer behavior insights, and operational performance data to inform branch staffing strategies and optimize customer and employee experiences across the retail network. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical expertise with business acumen to translate complex data into actionable recommendations that influence staffing, service delivery, and strategic decision-making. In this role, you will:

  • Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
  • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
  • Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of experience applying quantitative analysis, statistical techniques, or predictive analytics to solve complex business problems.
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
  • 2+ years of experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions, or data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Analyze branch staffing, customer traffic, transaction activity, and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and operational risks.
  • Develop workforce planning models and forecasting methodologies to support branch staffing and service strategies.
  • Experience applying quantitative and analytical techniques to identify trends, solve business problems, and inform decision-making
  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python; moderate statistical modeling is a plus
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools, preferably Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience with business performance analytics and KPI development.
  • Financial services, retail/branch banking, or customer analytics experience
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives and build productive working relationships across business and technical teams

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule. Must sit in office 3 days a week.
