The Lead Analytics Consultant is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and delivery of analytics solutions, across multiple UKG products - UKG Pro, UKG Pro WFM, and UKG Data Hub. This role serves as a subject matter expert and trusted client advisor, driving solution strategy, ensuring high-quality delivery, and mentoring team members.
The role is responsible for defining architecture, establishing best practices, and guiding the development of complex analytics and reporting solutions using IBM Cognos and related technologies to deliver scalable and high-performing outcomes.
Working closely with Program Managers, Engineering, Platform Support, and Analytics teams, the Lead provides technical leadership and oversight to ensure solutions meet design standards, scope, and customer expectations.
Additionally, the role focuses on driving innovation through AI-driven insights and automation, improving delivery efficiency, and supporting clients in shaping analytics strategy and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end solution design and architecture for analytics implementations
• Act as primary SME for IBM Cognos (Reporting, Framework Manager, Dashboards)
• Drive best practices, standards, and governance for reporting and data models
• Work with Looker and modern BI tools where applicable
• Collaborate on solutions leveraging data lake for multi-product data integration
• Identify and implement AI/Automation opportunities in analytics reporting processes
• Act as escalation point for complex technical and functional issues
• Mentor team members and contribute to capability building and knowledge sharing
• Engage with stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate business requirements
• Oversee development of reports, dashboards, and data solutions
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in analytics / BI solution delivery
• Strong expertise in IBM Cognos Analytics (mandatory) complete stack.
• Experience in solution architecture and leading BI implementations
• Strong knowledge of data modelling and reporting best practices
• Advanced SQL skills – MS SQL Server and Google Big Query
• Experience with Looker and Power BI - preferred
• Exposure to AI concepts or analytics automation - preferred
• Exposure to Enterprise Data Lake environments - preferred
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Talend or similar) - preferred
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
• Ability to work across global teams and time zones
