Salary Range: Band 8: AUD: $150,432.00 - $162,791.00 + Superannuation

(Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions)

Work type: Temporary Full-time – 2 years

Location: Brisbane Square

The Role

The Lead Analyst, Revenue is responsible for leading the planning, administration, and reporting of Council’s revenue activities, including rates and charges, fees and charges, debt recovery, regulatory revenue, and other income streams. The role ensures compliance with relevant legislation and contributes to Council’s long-term financial sustainability through effective revenue strategy, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.

To be successful you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline
  • Superior financial and business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate, interpret, identify trends, and report outcomes and issues to inform effective decision making.
  • Demonstrated evidence of capabilities in Council’s Leadership Blueprint to deliver performance excellence and a values-based culture.
  • Extensive experience in undertaking policy analysis, developing and implementing innovative policies, including measuring and monitoring policy outcomes.
  • Substantial knowledge, understanding and experience in the interpretation and application of applicable legislation to governance, compliance, and government.
  • Proven track record to lead a change agenda and drive continuous improvement in a large and complex organisation.
  • Considerable experience in providing authoritative professional value-add advice to high-level client groups.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to liaise and influence business partners and customers including senior executive management.
  • Proven high-level planning and organisation skills to work with significant autonomy meeting tight deadlines in an environment of conflicting priorities.
