Lead Analyst-Data & Analytics

- Provide analytical & reporting support to one or more functional areas (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Digital, Finance, etc.).
- Extracts & analyzes business data to support strategic and tactical decision-making, to assist in long-range business planning, to evaluate the effectiveness of different organizational initiatives, and to support effective, targeted communications.
- Defines, develops and tracks key performance measures.
- Identifies fact based best practices to further the development of solutions oriented sales programs.
- Generates ad hoc and recurring reports & analyses to assist in tracking various aspects of business performance.

Highest level individual contributor. Able to fully handle all aspects of project / analytical work, with minimal guidance from upline. Provides thought leadership to Data & Analytics group. May have some day to day management responsibility for junior staff. Strong potential for progression to group leader within 2 years, leading a broader group of analysts. Future management candidate, within 5 years.

• Project management skills (e.g., requirement gathering, planning, scheduling, monitoring, cost/benefit analysis) • Proven competency in statistical analysis and model building • Solid understanding and competency in utilizing relational databases and data warehousing technologies • Demonstrated competency in a variety of analytic and reporting tools (e.g., statistical package; decision trees; OLAP; report writers; spreadsheets and other desktop applications) • Experience with digital analytics software (Adobe, Heap) • Advanced experience in SQL and coding languages such as Python and/or R • Good understanding of data engineering (data flow, technical application) • Japanese & English: high business level or above
