About the Role

The Lead Analyst, Cloud Operations will provide day-to-day support to all AIA business units using AIA’s Azure public cloud platform including but not limited to incident-, change-, request- and problem management. AKS Engineer role focuses on deploying, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting containerized applications on Azure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


We are looking for a skilled AKS Engineer / Administrator with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments. The role focuses on deploying, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting containerized applications on Azure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities – AKS & Kubernetes Administration

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters.
  • Administer Kubernetes resources such as pods, deployments, services, namespaces, config maps, and secrets.
  • Monitor cluster health, workloads, and node performance.
  • Troubleshoot Kubernetes and application-related issues.

Azure Cloud Operations

  • Work with Azure services such as Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Storage.
  • Support scaling, upgrades, and patching of AKS clusters.
  • Assist with cloud resource optimization and cost management.

Security & Networking

  • Apply AKS security best practices including RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
  • Support ingress controller configuration and certificate management.
  • Coordinate with security teams on access controls and compliance.

Monitoring & Documentation

  • Configure monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Kubernetes-native tools.
  • Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
  • Assist with incident resolution and root cause analysis.

Additional:

  • Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance.
  • Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
  • Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support and guidance.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience working with Kubernetes and Azure cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals and container concepts.
  • Good knowledge of Linux administration and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Shell/Bash or PowerShell).
