Fuel your passion
Bringing together the most advanced physical and digital technologies, our engineering teams play a key role in delivering high-performance oilfield equipment. Through advanced simulation, modelling, and data-driven insights, we improve reliability, safety, and efficiency of subsea and surface-pressure systems that are industry-leading and commercially innovative.
In this role, you will be responsible for analytical engineering activities focused on enhancing service technologies. You will integrate customer data, assess product performance, and support reliability, availability, maintenance, and safety through advanced FEA and engineering analysis.
As a Lead Analysis Engineer – Service, you will be responsible for:
Leading the development and execution of advanced FEA simulations to support operational performance, ensuring compliance with key standards (API 6A/6X, ISO 13628-7, ASME BPVC VIII, DNV, Eurocode, BS 7608)
Performing structural analyses (linear elastic and elastic-plastic) to support design validation and service life assessment
Conducting detailed analytical trade studies to define performance limits, safety margins, and optimization opportunities
Capturing and translating service requirements into analytical models, ensuring systems and components meet performance expectations
Performing engineering hand calculations (e.g., threaded connections, lifting points, and pressure-containing components) to support and validate design solutions
Applying and developing fatigue analysis (LCF/HCF) and thermal simulations where required (nice to have); Supporting HISC (Hydrogen-Induced Stress Cracking) assessments through advanced simulation techniques (nice to have)
Managing and maintaining simulation data within PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter)
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including design, service, and business leadership, to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field)
Have experience in FEA analysis, preferably with most of your career focused on simulation
Have strong expertise in ANSYS Workbench (advanced level expected) as well as Teamcenter or similar PLM tools
Apply strong knowledge of industry standards, including API 6A/6X, ISO 13628-7, ASME BPVC VIII, DNV, Eurocode, and BS 7608.
Demonstrate hands-on experience in:
Structural FEA (linear elastic & elastic-plastic); Engineering hand calculations (threads, lifting points, pressure equipment); Fatigue FEA (LCF, HCF) (nice to have); Thermal FEA (nice to have); HISC FEA (nice to have)
Have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Be fluent in English and have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead small teams;
Additionally, interest or experience in 3D CAD design (e.g., Creo or similar) will be an advantage
