The Royal Caribbean Group’s Guest Travel Services Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Air Charter Strategy and Procurement reporting to the Director, Travel Partnerships.

The position is onsite and based in Miramar, Florida.

Job Purpose:

Lead, Air Charter Strategy & Procurement plays a critical role in supporting Royal Caribbean Group’s Guest Travel Services (GTS) by driving air charter sourcing strategies, optimizing costs, and ensuring operational reliability across global markets. This position focuses on commercial negotiations, risk mitigation, and analytics-driven decision-making to deliver superior guest experiences and competitive procurement solutions.

The role partners with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop short-, medium-, and long-term strategies aligned with global deployment plans. Success requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a dynamic travel landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Procurement & Negotiation

Lead negotiations with air charter providers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and service-level agreements.

Develop sourcing strategies that reduce cost exposure and improve operational efficiency.

  1. Analytics & Market Intelligence

Analyze financial, operational, and market data to inform decisions and benchmark suppliers.

Forecast demand and optimize capacity planning for global itineraries.

  1. Contract Management & Risk Mitigation

Partner with Legal and Risk teams to ensure strong contractual terms and compliance.

Identify and mitigate financial risk associated with unused air inventory.

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Revenue Management, Deployment, Emergency Travel, and other internal teams to align air strategies with brand objectives.

Facilitate timely resolution of contractual and operational issues.

  1. Performance Monitoring

Conduct quarterly business reviews with key partners and track KPIs.

Maintain procurement programs and ensure adherence to evolving policies.

  • Strategic approach to air travel sourcing and cost optimization.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to deliver measurable ROI and capital efficiencies.
  • Exceptional project management and problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of business management leadership related to Charter & Travel related procurement.
  • Strong analytical skills for planning, estimating, budgeting, and monitoring project work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms.
  • Experience in providing direction and performing responsibilities via influence.
  • Self-motivated, high-energy individuals with a strong drive for accomplishment and high capacity for work, with the ability to focus and execute on multiple priorities at any given time.
  • Outstanding strategic planning, consulting, and basic management financial skills.
  • Experience evaluating business trends, developing, and successfully implementing new business programs and strategies that enhance multiunit business performance.
