Lead Aide – Certified

Full Time, M-F 8-5 may require some weekends

Chillicothe, OH

National Church Residences Community Wellness is located in Columbus, Ohio. We are owned and operated by National Church Residences, the nation’s largest provider of affordable senior housing and health care services.

We are seeking Certified Lead Aide who will share in our vision to advance better living and care for seniors! You will be supporting background administration support and care needs for clients.

Qualified candidates for this position offer:

  • STNA Certified preferred

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals in accordance with their daily living needs. This includes, but is not limited to: lifting, turning, positioning, and transporting; assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene; responding promptly and professionally to call lights; maintaining a clean and safe living environment; engaging individuals in meaningful activities; and supporting restorative care programs to maintain functional abilities.

  • Serve as the shift lead, guiding and mentoring care staff, coordinating assignments, and ensuring services are delivered in alignment with individual care plans and organizational standards; respond to staffing gaps by arranging coverage, adjusting duties, or personally stepping in to provide direct caregiving support as needed.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Follow written and verbal instructions. Provide excellent customer service to individuals, families, team members, supervisors, and visitors. Promptly report any changes in physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.

  • Support clinical staff by assisting with delegated tasks such as measuring and recording vital signs, collecting weights and other data, preparing rooms, organizing personal belongings, and assisting with admissions and onboarding of new individuals and staff.

  • Uphold individual rights and dignity by adhering to all applicable policies and procedures. Support individuals in exercising their rights and report concerns or complaints to the appropriate supervisor while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Document care and observations accurately, timely, and confidentially in accordance with organizational procedures and electronic medical record systems.

  • Follow all safety and compliance protocols, including proper use of equipment, reporting maintenance needs, and adhering to emergency procedures.

  • Practice infection prevention and control by using personal protective equipment and following universal precautions and related protocols.

  • Assist with food service-related tasks, including preparing individuals for meals, serving food, assisting with eating, providing after-meal care, distributing snacks and beverages, and documenting intake and dietary changes.
