What is your role?
As a Lead AI Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for the design, development, and delivery of AI-enabled solutions for Corning Optical Communications. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can guide engineers, define architecture, support Agile delivery, and help bring practical AI capabilities into enterprise environments.You will work closely with AI Engineers, Senior AI Engineers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to build scalable applications, integrations, agents, tools, and user-friendly AI solutions that support business transformation and OPEX optimization.
Major responsibilities and tasks of the position:
Lead the technical direction, architecture, and delivery approach for AI-enabled applications, tools, agents, workflows, and integrations Guide AI Engineers and Senior AI Engineers through solution design, development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and implementation.Define scalable and supportable integration patterns using Python, APIs, LLM-enabled applications, models, and enterprise platforms.Partner with technical and business stakeholders to translate business needs into practical AI solutions and delivery roadmaps.Support Agile practices, engineering standards, reusable patterns, and continuous improvement across AI initiatives.
