Job Description

Lead AI Engineer

-

Leads the adoption and integration of AI capabilities into existing systems to accelerate digital transformation. Defines the AI roadmap, builds initial solutions (including AI agents), and enables the engineering team through hands-on leadership and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the AI strategy, roadmap, and use cases aligned to business priorities
  • Design and build AI-enabled solutions (LLMs, AI agents, automation, integrations)
  • Integrate AI into enterprise systems and workflows
  • Establish scalable architectures, standards, and engineering best practices
  • Lead hands-on development of POCs and production-ready solutions
  • Coach and upskill engineers, providing technical guidance and direction
  • Translate business needs into practical, high-impact applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate delivery and adoption

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years in software engineering, with strong experience in building scalable applications
  • Proven experience implementing AI/GenAI solutions in enterprise environments
  • Experience integrating AI into existing systems and business workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical direction and mentor teams

Core Skills

  • AI/GenAI development (LLMs, AI agents, RAG, automation)
  • Strong software engineering (Python, APIs, microservices)
  • Cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • System integration and architecture design
  • Agile development and DevOps practices

Impact

Drives the shift from AI exploration to execution, accelerating delivery, improving team capability, and enabling scalable AI adoption across the organization.
