Under the direction of the Male Youthful Offender ATU Program Manager:
  • Coordinates the daily operations of the Male Youthful Offender Residential Treatment Unit at Tuberville CI.
  • Provides administrative supervision to subordinate staff.
  • Provides individual/group counseling, conducts program-specific lectures, and provides case management services on the behalf of clients.
  • Identifies trends, problems and needs for services in the unit and collects data for organizational improvement.
  • Provides clinical supervision to subordinate staff.
  • Performs other operational/administrative duties which include monthly urinalysis screenings, sanction boards, pre-release board, and multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Maintains documentation of all services as outlined by divisional guidelines.
  • Ensures clients/confidentiality rights are maintained.
  • Participates in staff meetings and attends training sessions as required.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Examples of duties

State of South Carolina minimum requirements:

A bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling, or social sciences, and professional experience in human services or social services programs.

SCDC minimum requirements:

A bachelor's degree and minimum of two (2) years professional experience in human services or social services programs working directly with substance use disorder population.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include possessing an ADC, AADC, or LAC credential, or being eligible for credentialing within six (6) months of hire.
