At Special Strong Springfield Virginia, we are looking for a Founding Senior Adaptive Fitness Trainer to serve as the cornerstone of our team. You won’t just be delivering training sessions—you will be laying the operational foundation, setting the coaching standard, and helping scale our franchise across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Adaptive Fitness Leadership: Conduct 1:1 private training sessions and lead dynamic group adaptive fitness classes for individuals with mental, physical, or cognitive challenges.
• Assessments & Client Progression: Perform initial fitness assessments, track client milestones, and continuously tailor individual programming to foster independence and confidence.
• Client & Family Engagement: Build lasting, supportive relationships with athletes, families, caretakers, and community partners in Northern Virginia.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certifications: Current CPR/AED certification required. Approved Personal Trainer Certification (NCCA-accredited preferred: NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, etc.).
• Special Needs Experience: Prior professional or volunteer experience working with individuals with special needs/neurodivergent populations is highly preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of personal training or group fitness instruction experience or simular experience in coaching strongly preferred,
• Mobility: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel within a 15-mile radius in Northern Virginia.

Compensation: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
