This position isdemonstratingknowledge of the end-to-end process with extreme focus on customerservice,issue resolution to creategreatend user experience. This position involves operational activities and execution in routine systems and/or processes
Performs basic to moderately complex accounting tasks associated with the preparation and maintenance of Accounts Payable and other financial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot pending items on daily basis andsupportsissue resolution, with the end goal to have all supplier invoices payable by their due date, directs different cases to the department or person in charge for correct resolution; Educates internal and external customers on policies and procedures as appropriate; prepares and provides data for clients; retrieves and requests additional documentation when required.
Ensures that documents are processed,in accordance withpolicies andprocedures;maintainsdata tracking logs for metrics, production and compliance reporting; validation of accuracy of supporting documentation used in exceptions
Contributes to quality control by reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures,adheresto legal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
Completes assigned work and priorities using policies, data, andresources,collaborating with managers, co-workers, internal clients, and others involved in the processes.
Maintains involvement and communication through telephone, email, chat, or any other means with internal and external clients involved in the processes.
Resolve supplier disputes and issues. Resolution to include root cause analysis and proactive steps to mitigate future issues.
Identifiesopportunities for optimization and continuous improvement of processes related to the department, toestablishnewstrategiesand apply best practices.
Back-up the Team Leader in operational responsibilities asrequired
Mentoring and training a new member of the team
Drive the regular maintenance ofP2P ledgers including cash clearing,supplierand GRNI ledgers.
Involved in month end closing activitiese.g.Reporting, reconciliations,accrualsand reviews.
Leadrolewill require co-ordination of projects between multiple teams and departments.
Other duties as assigned.
Requiredskills/experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
3+ years of working experience in Accounts Payable.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Ability to act asSME(subject matter expert) in functionalarea
Strong attention to detail.
Confident knowledge of MS tools (Outlook, Excel)
ERP/workflowexperience(SAP,Oracle, QAD, Navision, Basware, Coupa and Tungsten)
Ability to handle complex reporting activities (month-end accruals, account reconciliations).
Ability to liaise with Internal Controls & Compliance.
Ability to liaise with GBS Finance Teams (GL Accounting, ICO Accounting) and Site Finance Controllership.
Ability to multitask and follow (frequentlychanging) priorities.
Self-starter, proactive approach.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Process Improvement/Process Standardization/Process Automation experience.
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Team person attitude, quick learner,flexibilityand high adaptability to change.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
