Job Description

Assist Supervisor with overseeing all operations in the Press department.
Key Responsibilities
  • At beginning of shift, coordinate with Supervisor to ensure proper personnel has been placed at the appropriate machine.
  • At beginning of shift, inspect work are for cleanliness and organization. If out of order, instruct Operator to clean as needed.
  • Monitor all personnel throughout the department to ensure daily responsibilities are being met.
  • Operate pallet jack to help move and stage carpet pieces at the appropriate press per work order.
  • Coordinate with Press Operators regarding any machine issues. Notify Supervisor of any maintenance or safety needs.
  • At the end of shift, conduct walk through of all work stations to ensure proper organization and cleanliness is maintained.
  • Perform other work duties as assigned by Supervisor
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Full-time, 3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday 10PM-6AM OT Friday 10PM-6AM

  • Manufacturing/production environment with moderate noise levels.

The late Emmett Hart established Mountville Mills in 1963 in a small building just outside of LaGrange, Georgia. Hart worked at Callaway Mills for 15 years in the design and development departments before starting his own company with the encouragement of his wife, Nancy.

Emmett and Nancy were among the first seven employees of Mountville Mills. Today, the family-owned business maintains more than 640,000 square-feet in manufacturing plants, and more than 1,000 employees across North America and Europe.

Mountville Mills first expanded by joining forces with The Andersen Company in Dalton, Georgia in 1999. In 2005, Mountville expanded its operations to Ronse, Belgium, where it maintains a manufacturing and sales facility to service the mat needs of its European customers. In 2008, Mountville acquired the North American business unit of Kleen-Tex Industries, Inc. In 2018, the textile rental division of Mountville Mills and The Andersen Company merged to form M+A Matting which serves both U.S. and Canadian customers. Additional members of the Mountville family include Mountville Mills Rubber Company, Logo Mats LLC, Bungalow Flooring, Purple Mustard, Motif, The MatWorks, and Matterly.
