Department
Medicaid Technology Development
- Corresponds with agency and project staff to oversee the management of projects to implement the MES modularity systems.
- Manages entire project lifecycle, including ensuring all agency, procurement, and project deadlines are met.
- Defines the objectives of products and services in order to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders serving as the lead for advisory committees.
- Meets with various department personnel and officials regarding matters relating to the procurement and implementation.
- Researches various topics based off request given from section or unit needing identified procurement services.
- Drafts documents, based off research and text, located from similar state contracts/proposals and evaluate outcomes from implementation of said states’ requested services.
- Contributes and prepares reports and memos for management and elected officials as needed.
- Corresponds and meets with CMS, partners, vendors, legal counsel and other program staff on regulations regarding the Medicaid program to establish project requirements and to resolve conflicts timely.
- Tracks progress and timeframes on various documents being worked on and ensures project documents are complete in accordance with State and Federal procurement guidelines and that they are stored appropriately.
- Reviews work output that is completed by program staff and the procurement support team coordinators for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinates standards, procedures, and best practices with the Agile Center of Excellence to ensure efficient and effective division operations.
- Provides system service coordination with external vendors and internal LDH sections.
- Assists the Medicaid Project Director, Section Chief, and Medicaid Deputy Director on special projects.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in project management.
- Minimum 4 years professional experience in public speaking, presentation and/or training environment, presenting information to technical and non‐technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
- Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
- Professional experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
DESIRED:
- Advanced degree.
- Minimum 6 years professional experience in a project management related field.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in public speaking, presentation and/or training environment.
- Minimum 3 years professional experience with large scale software conversions or implementations.
- Minimum 2 years professional experience with project management software: Microsoft Project, JIRA, or relevant industry software.
SALARY: 115-125k
