Job Description

What You'll Do?

As the Maintenance Group Leader, you will be responsible for a small to medium group of maintenance employees. You will manage the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems.

Work Appropriately

On Site: This position requires to work on site on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

  • You will conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicate evaluation of results.

  • Recommends solutions to problems

  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions

  • Meets schedule and quality requirements

  • Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements

  • Implements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practices

  • Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group

  • Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment

  • Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project. Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or any related engineering field, or relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within maintenance or manufacturing environments (2–5 years preferred).
  • Intermediate level of English, with the ability to hold a technical conversation.

  • Availability and flexibility to work rotating shifts (4x3 schedule).

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities

  • Proven experience leading work teams

  • Experience with CNC Machining, PLCs, and electrical system

  • Knowledge of FANUC and Siemens CNC controls

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of robotic cell configurations, automation systems, and basic robot programming or handling.
