The Shell Trading & Supply (T&S)Products is at the core of Shell’s Downstream business, acting as the integrator across Shell plc to enable stronger end-to-end (E2E) low-carbon fuels (LCF) value delivery. LCF is a rapidly growing area within T&S Products, coveringbiofeedstocks, biofuels, and emerging energy carriers such as renewable electricity, green hydrogen, and Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBOs).
Asan LCFRegulatory Analyst-East, you will play a critical role in supporting global regulatory and compliance efforts across T&S LCF businesses in the East region. You will be at the forefront ofidentifyingmarket opportunities, interpreting regulatory developments, and helping operationalize Shell’s low-carbon fuel offerings.
You will work across a wide network of internal stakeholders—including aviation, maritime, mining, chemicals, hydrogen, mobility (EV), feedstocks, and M&A—and externally with regulators, ministries, and industry bodies, in close collaboration with Corporate Relations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze political, regulatory, and legislative developments across the East region,identifyingboth risks and commercial opportunities for Shell’s LCF business.
Review, interpret, and summarize existing and emerging regulationsimpactingfeedstocks and finished bio-/renewable fuels across road, aviation, and maritime sectors.
Translate complex regulatory developments into clear, actionable insights, clearly articulating business impact, risks, and opportunities for traders, commercial teams, and senior stakeholders.
Support development of business strategies byidentifyingvalue opportunities arising from regulatory changes.
Contribute to long-term supply & demand (S&D) modeling assumptions alongside the LCF analyst team to inform Shell’s regulatory positioning.
Provide subject matterexpertise(SME) to support Shell’s policy, advocacy, and market design strategies in collaboration with Corporate Relations and Policy & Advocacy teams.
Support the implementation of regulatory requirements across T&S LCF and relevant businesses, ensuring compliance with evolving frameworks.
Represent Shell, whereappropriate, in external engagements with regulators, industry associations, and multi-stakeholder forums.
Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of low-carbon fuel and feedstock regulations is highly desirable, including:
Renewable Energy Directive (RED)
FuelEUMaritime andReFuelEUAviation
EU Emissions Trading System (ETS)
CORSIA and IMO frameworks
Low Carbon Fuel Standards (LCFS)
RFNBO-related regulations
Regional (East of Suez) transport decarbonization policies
Candidates without direct LCF experience shoulddemonstratefamiliarity with adjacent regulated markets such as carbon markets, gas/power, or agricultural commodities.
Understanding (or willingness to developexpertise) in:
Carbon accounting and reporting systems
Voluntary carbon and compliance markets across transport sectors
Chain of custody and traceability models (e.g., mass balance systems)
Additional Requirements:
Ability to align regulatory insights with commercial strategy and value creation opportunities.
Experience supporting policy development or advocacy strategies isadvantageous
