Howmet Aerospace is currently looking an Tool & Mold Maker A to join our Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey.
The work hours for this 1st shift position are Monday to Friday 8AM-430PM
Training will occur on Day Shift (Monday - Friday 6:00 - 2:30p) for several months.
Anticipated Pay Range: $35.27 - $38.00 per hour. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.
This position will receive an hourly "shift premium" while assigned to an off-shift.

Perform 1st article dimensional inspections on castings, gages, and fixtures of all levels of complexity by utilizing metrology inspection equipment and software. Create reports and document on AS9102 form or as required by customer specifications. Review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement within the scope of this job description.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform dimensional inspection layouts on castings and gauges, casting to gauge correlations, gauge design verifications and R&R studies using various metrology tools and associated software
Document all inspection work, sketches, CAD information as per internal and external requirements
Communicate with engineers, toolmakers, vendors, customers and managers as required
Proficient with speaking and reading English
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong math skills related to dimensional inspection and blueprint interpretation
Able and willing to assist, and train new technicians and shop floor personnel
Ability and willingness to learn and program CMM Machines, ATOS scan box and other inspection equipment
Ability to remove material to expose internal inspection features using belting, grinding and wire EDM equipment
Assist with supporting manufacturing operations as related to dimensional inspection; gaging, CMM, ATOS, Airflow, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Able to satisfactorily complete testing as layout inspection i.e. PW Airfoil Inspection qualification and or similar customer requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Able and willing to assist, and train new technicians.
Work towards CAD/CMM interface able to pass test in related expertise.
Review product non-conformances as part of continuous improvement within the scope of this job description.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Able to stand/sit at work station for long periods of time.
