Yard Manager is responsible for the overall daily organization, material control, equipment management, and logistics of the electrical contractor’s on-site laydown yard. This role ensures that electrical materials (conduit, wire, switchgear, light fixtures, fittings, and pre-fab assemblies) are accurately received, safely staged, securely stored, and efficiently issued to field crews to maintain uninterrupted project workflow. Coordinate daily deliveries and maintain an up-to-date stock of materials.

Material tracking: Overseeing the receiving, organizing, and staging of high-value electrical materials like conduits, bulk wire, fittings,etc.
Kitting and staging: Reviewing upcoming project work orders and staging specific "kits" or pallets of materials so field electricians can quickly load up and head to job sites without delays. [ 1, 2]
Disposal and recycling: Managing scrap copper, wire remnants, and aluminum recycling processes, which are significant revenue recovery streams for electrical contractors.
