In this role, you'll:


Work as part of a dedicated and high performing team of Lawyers including Directors, Senior Lawyers and peers delivering quality legal services to support the diverse functions of Transport for NSW and other agencies within the transport portfolio.


With a focus on planning, environment, and land acquisition, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality legal advice, draft legal documents, and coordinate external legal representation in court proceedings, to ensure optimal outcomes across the Transport cluster.

Work with an established triage system, no two days will be the same!

You will work from the Elizabeth Street office 50% of the time – including Mondays and Wednesdays - with the option to work from another TfNSW office of your choosing on other days if you wish.

This opportunity is offered as a permanent full-time position.

About you


You will hold a practising certificate issued by the Law Society of NSW.

You have 2+ years’ experience as a solicitor in a private firm, in house, or Government legal team (highly regarded).



You have experience in planning, environment, native title and/or land acquisition law, including litigation experience (preferred).



You’re recognised as someone who has strong communication, legal research, drafting, problem solving and negotiating skills and can use your interpersonal skills to manage a variety of stakeholders.

You will have the ability to prioritise your work under pressure.
