Job Description

Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $49,100 - Midpoint: $61,400 (Salaried E7)

Department/Organization: 218101 - Dean's Office-School of Law

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Law School Scholarships and Financial Aid Coordinator manages the processing of all scholarships for the School of Law, including working with internal and external teams to ensure all appropriate steps are followed in the scholarship awarding process. Serves as the primary point of contact for law students with scholarship, financial aid, or emergency financial assistance questions or needs. Establishes and executes stewardship plans. Helps coordinate the distribution or other law school awards and honors. Prepares, updates, and maintains a variety of reports and databases on financial aid and scholarship matters.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of scholarship, stewardship, or financial aid experience: OR master's degree or higher and some scholarship, stewardship, or financial aid experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple processes and priorities with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to interpret and consistently apply policies and guidelines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Ability to organize, analyze, reconcile, and report data. Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills, including the ability to assist students with sensitive or complex financial matters with professionalism, patience, and discretion. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly explain policies, requirements, and financial information to a variety of audiences. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and external partners while maintaining ownership of processes and ensuring timely follow-through. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive student, financial, and donor information.
