
The University of Virginia School of Law ishiring graduateexam assistants to help proctor final examsbetween8:00am-6:00pm on weekdays fromApril 27 through May 8A mandatory training session will beheldthe week of April 20
Exam assistants willsupport the Law School’s Student Records Office (SRO)withexam administration to helpfacilitateasmooth, secure,andfair testing environment
Exam assistants will:
Monitor exam roomstohelp enforce testing rules (e.g., restrictions on electronic devices and otherspecifiedmaterials) in a calm, professional,and respectful manner
Promptlyand accuratelydocument any irregularities with SRO personnel
Provide excellent customer support to students and Law School personnel
Maintain confidentiality.
Exam assistants may be asked toassistwith other tasks such as:
Organizingandmaintainingexam questions and student information in a secure environment
Reviewingexam rooms before exams begin to ensure rooms are in good condition.
Distributingexamsin accordance withLaw School protocols
Other duties as assigned.
The Law School administers exams in its buildinganddoes not conduct remote examsExam assistants may be assigned to large exam rooms, small groups, or individual testing spaces
Exams are administeredusingExam4 software.Exam assistants will notprovide technical support ortechnicaltroubleshooting. All computing and Exam4-related issueswill behandled by Law IT personnel, who will be available to support students as needed.
Exam assistants must have a strong attention to detail;beable to show good judgment in sensitive situations; and be reliable, punctual, and able to remain attentive for extended periods.
Outside of the mandatory training, theanticipatedwork schedule for this position is Monday throughFridayfrom7:45am to 6:00pm, April 27 – May 8Applicants need to be able to work at least a five-hour shifton the days they work; applicants do not need to be available every day of the exam period
P refer students who can work a complete day (8:00am-6:00pm) or a minimum of either 8:00am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-6:00pm.
Position Compensation: $20.00 Hourly

Education: Bachelor's degree. Registered as a UVA graduate student. Graduate students with work-study eligibility are encouraged to apply.
