  • Identify opportunities to refer clients to other Maurice Blackburn practice areas where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with lawyers and legal support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Proactively support the team to maintain efficiency, improve processes and achieve high performance.
  • Provide confidential administrative support, including file management, document preparation and maintaining accurate file notes and stakeholder records.
  • Contribute to mentoring and supporting junior legal support staff where required.

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously within appropriate supervision.
  • Sound judgement, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify when guidance or escalation is required.
  • A professional, compassionate and client-centred approach, with a strong commitment to confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Experience preparing for or participating in WorkCover conciliations, or working within or alongside a union, employee or membership-based organisation, is desirable.
