Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.75 Hourly

Job Shift: 8a - 4:30p FT M-FOur Laundry Worker performs laundry duties for Environmental Services in the cleaning of clothes and linens for residents, Health Care, and Arbor Acres.
Status Non Exempt
Hours: M-F 8A – 430P
Job Relationships
- Reports to and is supervised by the Laundry Supervisor and Director of Housekeeping and Laundry.
Laundry Worker: Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures that linen is properly separated into different classifications.
- Uses proper personal protective equipment when caring for soiled laundry.
- Folds and processes clean linen and terry and separates
Typical Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift approximately 30 lbs. of linen.
- Ability to walk extensively, to squat, bend, kneel, climb to reach 8 ft. ceilings, and reach above shoulders.
- Needs sense of sight, hearing, smell and touch.
- Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemical and tolerate the presence of dust.
- Must be able to successfully complete the WorkSTEPS Functional Testing program. This program assists in determining whether applicants/employees are able to safely perform essential job functions.
Laundry Worker: Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of a 24-hour facility.
- Work habits must include: regular attendance, punctuality, teamwork, willingness to learn, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
- Ability to communicate with residents, family members, and other staff.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and utilize equipment properly.
- Must be able to thoroughly read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

- Bilingual is a plus, but is not required
