Role

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Housekeeper, The Laundry Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the hotel’s laundry department, ensuring that all linen, guest garments, and uniforms are cleaned, handled, and delivered to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role plays a key part in upholding the luxury image of the hotel by maintaining impeccable standards in hygiene, organization, and service delivery, while effectively leading the laundry team.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily laundry activities, ensuring timely and high-quality laundering of linens, guest items, and colleague uniforms.

  • Maintain and monitor inventory levels of linen, laundry supplies, and chemicals, ensuring timely reordering as needed.

  • Ensure all machinery is operated safely and effectively; report and follow up on any maintenance issues.

  • Train, guide, and evaluate laundry team members to maintain high performance and adherence to hotel standards.

  • Implement and enforce hygiene and safety protocols, including compliance with local health regulations.

  • Manage guest laundry services, including special requests and express service, ensuring guest satisfaction.

  • Conduct regular quality checks on cleaned items for stains, damage, and overall cleanliness.

  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to meet linen demand and turnaround times.

  • Maintain detailed records of laundry usage, machine maintenance, and productivity reports.

  • Support eco-friendly and sustainable laundering practices as per hotel policy.

Requirements

  • Fluent in written and spoken Italian, is a plus English.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel laundry operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial laundry equipment, fabric care, and cleaning techniques.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to lead a team and foster a positive working environment.

  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

  • Legal authorization to work in Italy
