Summary

  • Under the direction of the commissary manager, direct the commissary, laundry & barber/beauty operations within a correctional environment.
  • Supervise the laundry operations.
  • Train and oversee all inmate workers.
  • Ensure proper procedures are utilized.
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Assist the commissary manager with supply distribution.
  • Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of barber equipment.
  • Order and stock necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Develop & implement a system to reduce and/or eliminate theft of laundry items.
  • Assist in accountability of records inventories, weekly recaps, postings and SCEIS entries.
  • Respond to request to staff.
  • Perform duties of manager in their absence.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
