At InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Residences Dubai Business Bay, we are seeking a Laundry Attendant to support exceptional garment and linen care standards that ensure guest comfort, presentation, and operational excellence across the property.

This role is designed for a detail-oriented, hands-on, and quality-driven professional who takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, fabric care, and presentation—ensuring every linen item and guest garment reflects the luxury experience we deliver.

You will support the Laundry Supervisor in maintaining operational efficiency and consistency across laundry services.

This role directly contributes to guest satisfaction, brand presentation, and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Laundry Supervisor, the Laundry Attendant supports daily laundry operations at InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay.

You will be responsible for sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding, and distributing linen and garments while maintaining cleanliness and operational standards within the laundry area.

Your Day-to-Day

No two days are the same; your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Laundry Operations

• Sort linens, uniforms, and guest garments according to fabric type and washing requirements
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently
• Fold, press, and prepare items according to hotel presentation standards
• Ensure proper handling of delicate fabrics and special garment care requirements

Guest Laundry Services

• Process guest laundry requests accurately and promptly
• Ensure timely delivery of guest garments
• Handle guest items with professionalism and care
• Report discrepancies or damaged items immediately

Linen & Uniform Management

• Assist with linen sorting, distribution, and storage
• Support uniform issuance and collection procedures
• Monitor stock levels of linen and laundry supplies
• Maintain proper organisation of laundry inventory

Quality Assurance

• Inspect cleaned items for stains, damage, or imperfections
• Reprocess items that do not meet quality standards
• Ensure all items are fresh, clean, and properly finished

Operational Support

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of laundry areas
• Report equipment issues to the Laundry Supervisor
• Follow daily production schedules and priorities
• Support team members during peak operational periods

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Follow health, hygiene, and safety procedures
• Use laundry chemicals and equipment correctly
• Adhere to hotel operational standards and policies
• Ensure compliance with brand and safety regulations

What We Need From You

Ideally, you bring some (or all) of the following:

Education

• Basic education required
• Laundry or hospitality training is an advantage

Experience

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred
• Experience in hotels, serviced residences, or commercial laundry operations is an advantage
• Familiarity with laundry machinery and fabric care procedures beneficial
• GCC/Dubai experience is a plus
