Laundry Attendant

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott – Conway, Arkansas

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring that clean, fresh, and properly processed linens are available for our guests and housekeeping team. This position plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel and requires someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and properly.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, washcloths, and other laundry items.
• Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and remove items that do not meet hotel standards.
• Properly treat stains according to hotel procedures and approved products.
• Maintain an organized supply of clean linens for the housekeeping department.
• Deliver and distribute clean linens to appropriate areas of the hotel as needed.
• Keep the laundry room, equipment, floors, and surrounding areas clean and organized.
• Clean lint traps and perform routine cleaning of laundry equipment.
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to management immediately.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and notify management when additional linens or supplies are needed.
• Assist housekeeping and other hotel departments when necessary.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Follow Marriott and Fairfield Inn standards and hotel policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull laundry and linen.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and move throughout the laundry area and hotel.
• Ability to work around heat, humidity, commercial laundry equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to safely operate laundry equipment after proper training.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel or laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Reliable and dependable attendance is essential.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and hotel procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and management.

Schedule

This is a Part-Time position, with opportunity to become full-time. Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on hotel occupancy and business needs.
