REPORTS TO: Environmental Services Manager
SALARY: As per AUPE Collective Agreement Local 47 Chapter 38
As a valued interdisciplinary Staff member the Laundry Attendant, under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager, collects, sorts, launders and returns laundry to source in the Home including resident and site laundry, following infection prevention and control guidelines and laundry equipment procedure. Treats residents with dignity and demonstrates an attitude of caring.
Grade 12; experience working in a commercial laundry an asset.
Job requires a significant amount of lifting, bending, walking, sitting and standing. Lifting 50-lbs. maximum. More frequent lifting of 20 lbs. or less. A regular day may involve four (4) hours of walking and frequent bending or crouching.
