About the role:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for managing the collection, preparation, and distribution of all hotel linens and terry items. This role ensures the proper handling of soiled and clean linen, supports offsite laundry processes, and maintains consistent supply levels across the property. This position is part of the Housekeeping team, reporting to Housekeeping Management.
What you will do:
Collect all soiled linens and terry using designated containers and bins
Prepare soiled linens and terry for offsite washing and processing
Receive, inspect, and organize clean linens returned from offsite vendors
Distribute clean linens and terry to guest floors and designated storage areas
Maintain organization and cleanliness of laundry and storage areas
Ensure proper handling and tracking of linen inventory
Respond to guest and team requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
Follow all safety, hygiene, and operational procedures
Support housekeeping operations as needed to ensure efficient workflow
What you bring:
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar role or hospitality environment preferred
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods and lifting up to 100 lbs
Ability to walk, bend, kneel, and work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor areas
Comfortable working with cleaning agents and laundry equipment
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
