Job Description

A beloved hotel with an enviable oceanfront location is now even better, following a $50 million renovation. Our newly redesigned Loews Miami Beach Hotel includes all-new touchpoints throughout the property. Welcome to a South Beach Icon, Reimagined.

Position is responsible for folding and feeding linen. Maintain good quality and production standards. Additional responsibilities include all opening duties. Maintain a clean work environment. Have a positive attitude and be able to work well with others.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Hand fold terry items , blankets and spreads
  • Performs any opening work
  • Operates assigned equipment in accordance with hotel standards and guidelines for safety
  • Feeds flat work iron
  • Tracks production
  • Keeps assigned area clean
  • Performs any closing work
  • Encourages a positive attitude among employees, and treats other employees (and the guests) with courtesy and respect
  • Plus any other duties as assigned by management

Supportive Functions and Responsibilities

  • Promotes and applies teamwork skill at all times
  • Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of all problems and/or unusual matters of significance
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employees
  • Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
  • Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
  • Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules
  • Recycles whenever possible
  • Remains current with hotel information and changes
  • Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards

Qualifications

  • Must be able to maintain production reports
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be customer-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills

Education:

  • High school diploma an asset
