Full-Time | Starting at $18.00/Hour

Western Slope Health Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laundry Aide to join our team! The Laundry Aide plays an important role in ensuring our residents have clean, comfortable clothing and linens while helping maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure an adequate supply of clean linen is available for the proper care and comfort of residents.
  • Maintain linens in good repair and remove items with holes, stains, or other damage from service.
  • Collect resident laundry daily or as needed.
  • Label clothing for new residents as needed.
  • Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens.
  • Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.
  • Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry services.
  • Maintain an appropriate inventory of laundry supplies.
  • Operate industrial washers, dryers, and related equipment safely.
  • Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and sanitary.
  • Report equipment problems or maintenance concerns to the Administrator.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance when needed.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred:

  • One year of laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, or related experience.

Certification: No certifications required.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, talking, reading, and hearing. The employee will frequently operate industrial washers, dryers, and related laundry/housekeeping equipment.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

The work environment is generally low to moderate in noise level and includes regular use of commercial laundry equipment and supplies.
