We have an immediate opening for an Launch Engineer to join our team, this candidate must have a great work ethic, a high sense of urgency, and dynamic energy. This could be a great fit if you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment!

Responsabilities:

• Coordinate and execute launch activities involving products, plastic injection moulding processes, painting and assembly.
• Generate project timelines, organise progress meetings, validate BOMs, record information in QAD and make any necessary adjustments.
• Knowledge of customer portals (GM, Ford, Stellantis).
• Participate in the APQP phases, ensuring that deliverables are met.
• Lead and/or carry out trial runs, capacity tests and process validations.
• Participate in the preparation of technical documentation:
  PFMEA
  Control Plan
  Process sheets
  Work instructions
• Coordinate the preparation and release of samples:
  Run@Rate
  PPAP
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from tests, audits or deviations detected during start-ups.
• Collaborate with the following departments:
  -Quality
  -Production
  -Maintenance
  -Suppliers and customers
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and specific customer requirements (CSR).
• Support the transition from project to production.
• Provide technical support during the first days/weeks of series production.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in cycle times, scrap, efficiency and process stability.

Technical expertise

• Technical expertise
• Plastic injection moulding, painting and assembly processes.
• APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan.
• Automotive Core Tools.
• Interpretation of drawings and GD&T.
• Management of performance indicators.
• Problem-solving methodologies (8D, A3, Ishikawa).
• IATF 16949 requirements.
• QAD system management
• Microsoft Project
• Advanced Excel skills
• Conversational English

Experiences:

Requieres

• 2 to 5 years’ experience in:
Plastic injection moulding processes
Automotive launches (Tier 1 / Tier 2)

• Experience with new project launches and engineering changes.

Bachelors in Occupational:

• Industrial Engineering.
