Job Description

LATAM Payroll Manager

Veralto Corporation

Location: Mexico (Remote) – with regional travel requirements
Reporting to: Sr. Director of Global Payroll (US-based)
Function: Veralto Corporate HR – Shared Services

About Veralto:

Veralto is a global industrial technology company dedicated to safeguarding the world’s most vital resources. With approximately 17,000 associates worldwide, it provides solutions that ensure access to clean water and support the safety, traceability, and quality of essential goods.

The company operates through two main segments: Water Quality and Product Quality & Innovation, serving industries such as water, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, and industrial manufacturing.

About The Role:

Veralto is seeking an experienced LATAM Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll delivery across Latin America, ensuring payroll is accurate, timely, and compliant while reinforcing consistency, reliability, and control across the region.

This role is part of Veralto’s Corporate HR Shared Services organization and plays a key role in the ongoing transformation from a decentralized payroll structure into a global payroll operating model. It is a remote position based in Mexico, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Global Payroll, who is based in the United States, offering strong exposure to global leadership.

This role serves as the LATAM payroll subject matter expert and a key partner to Operating Company leaders, regional stakeholders, and external payroll providers. The LATAM Payroll Manager will focus on stabilizing payroll execution, strengthening coordination across countries, and building standardized ways of working, while actively shaping and evolving the payroll function over time.

This is a highly visible role that requires a self-starter mindset, comfort operating in an evolving environment, and the ability to drive transformation while ensuring day-to-day payroll continuity.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end payroll oversight across LATAM countries, ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with country-specific requirements.

  • Own regional payroll calendar coordination, ensuring inputs, approvals, funding alignment, and deadlines are met consistently.

  • Act as the central point of coordination for regional payroll activities, including issue resolution across stakeholders and vendors.

  • Serve as escalation point for complex payroll matters and support timely resolution.

  • Review payroll outputs (gross-to-net, variances, reconciliations) before final approval.

  • Ensure payroll documentation is complete, controlled, and audit-ready.

  • Drive consistency and standardization across LATAM payroll operations.

  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce manual work, increase visibility, and mitigate risk.

  • Partner closely with HR Shared Services, Finance, and external vendors to improve data quality and execution.

  • Provide regular updates to Global Payroll leadership on status, risks, and dependencies.

Team & Scope:

  • Lead and develop a regional payroll structure that includes both direct reports and indirect resources currently operating within HR Shared Services.

  • Support the transition of payroll activities from HRSS into a dedicated global payroll model.

  • Over time, expand scope and influence as the global payroll function matures.

Job Requirements:

  • 7–10+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country LATAM payroll responsibility.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of LATAM payroll regulations (labor, tax, social security, statutory reporting).

  • Experience managing payroll across countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.

  • Experience working in complex, multi-country environments and coordinating across multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience working with external payroll vendors and managing service delivery.

  • Strong understanding of payroll validation processes (gross-to-net, reconciliations, controls).

  • Exposure to SOX, audits, and compliance processes.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in evolving and ambiguous environments.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Fluent English and Spanish required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Portuguese is highly preferred due to regional scope (Brazil), but not mandatory.

  • Experience in global payroll or shared services environments.

  • Experience leading teams (direct or indirect) in a regional or matrix structure.

  • Experience in payroll transformations or process standardization initiatives.

  • Experience supporting organizational change or function transitions.

  • Experience with Workday, ADP, or other global payroll platforms.

Additional Details:

  • Fully remote role based in Mexico, with regional travel requirements (~25% initially, decreasing over time to ~15-20%).
