LaserJet Regional Engineer

The LaserJet Regional Engineer serves as the regional technical authority for HP LaserJet products, ensuring product reliability, service excellence, and rapid resolution of complex technical issues. The role owns regional escalations, drives root cause analysis, and works cross‑functionally with Global Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Field Operations to improve fleet stability and customer satisfaction. This position also enables field and partner teams through technical guidance, training, and readiness support, while using data and analytics to identify trends, reduce repeat failures, and continuously improve service performance across the region.


Responsibilities


• Independently develops solutions for a supply chain project, including managing complex issues, by applying in-depth supply chain and industry knowledge.

  • Act as the primary technical authority for HP LaserJet products within the assigned region.
  • Own end‑to‑end issue resolution for complex hardware, firmware, and print-quality problems escalated from country engineering or support teams.
  • Provide expert diagnosis for chronic issues related to fusers, imaging units, toner systems, controllers, and paper handling.
  • Validate and support new LaserJet launches, including readiness assessments and post‑launch technical monitoring.
  • Lead regional technical escalations, driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for repeat or high‑impact failures.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with Global Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Develop and deliver technical trainings, service notes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Certify partners on new platforms and technologies.
  • Ensure service consistency and adherence to HP repair standards regionally.
  • Analyze failure trends, warranty data, and repair returns to identify systemic issues.
  • Support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to improve product reliability.
  • Act as a liaison between Regional Operations and Global Teams, translating field problems into actionable engineering feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify repair processes and reduce service time.
  • Propose tooling, diagnostics, or process improvements to enhance service efficiency.
  • Support digital initiatives such as remote diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and analytics.



Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has more than 4 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, technical area or a related field.
