We are seeking a skilled Laser operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, program, and operate press Laser equipment to produce high-quality production parts that meet engineering and customer specifications. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and manufacturing documentation, performing machine setups and tooling changes, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring safe, efficient operations. The successful candidate will maintain a clean and organized work environment while supporting production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Drive at DTNA

Set up, program, and operate Laser equipment to manufacture production parts. Perform machine setups, tooling changes, program adjustments, and quality inspections while ensuring safety and product quality. Interpret blueprints and manufacturing documents to meet specifications, maintain a clean work area, and perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Minimum two years of Set up and operating Fiber and CO₂ laser cutting machines.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T, precision gaging, and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment, perform quality inspections, and use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional requirements.
  • Load, unload, and stage sheet metal using material handling equipment.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Hands-on experience setting up, programming, and operating Fiber and C02 Lasers or similar metal burning equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machine, tooling, set up, and dimensional issues while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Monitor cut quality and make adjustments to feeds, speeds, focus, nozzle selection, and assist gases as required.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, lens cleaning, nozzle changes, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot machine alarms, cut-quality issues, and production inefficiencies.
  • Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, precision measuring equipment, and maintaining tight tolerances to produce high-quality fabricated components.
