Job Description

The Laser Operator, located in an air conditioned facility in Orange, TX, is committed to supporting Cloeren Incorporated continue to be the leader in extrusion die and feedblock quality and technology by producing precision parts using Laser cutting machines.

Requirements

  1. Responsible for operation, loading and unloading material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
  2. Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  3. Ensure productions rates are met or exceeded.
  4. Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within
  5. capabilities, controls, or control media as required to ensure quality of productions. Reports all
  6. machine malfunctions to Management.
  7. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
  8. Unloading steel trucks, shearing, sawing, sanding, bending, packaging, and tapping, as needed.
  9. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

At a minimum, the Laser Operator must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 1+ years of programming and operating Laser machinery.

  1. Effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
  2. Ability to use appropriate computer programs (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite) which includes having proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.
  3. Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal.
  4. Ability to embrace change in the workplace while encouraging others to seek innovative approaches.
  5. Ability to function effectively as a team player.
  6. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, as needed, to best serve our business operations.
