The Laser Operator will take responsibility for producing sheet, plate, and structural parts from a variety of metal materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for machine set ups on a variety of lasers, general periodic maintenance, general raw material staging, basic part inspection, processing, and operator duties.

ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)

  • Follow laser operator work instructions to ensure quality part production.
  • Operate sheet lifters and forklifts to load/unload materials.
  • Adhere to safety procedures for safe operations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, follow instructions, troubleshoot issues, and report to Operations Manager for repairs.
  • Communicate workload, irregularities, and production needs across shifts.
  • Collaborate with material handlers for efficient and safe material flow in the laser area.
  • Accurately measure using various tools.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Technical degree preferred but not required; high school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferably 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Willingness to assist in other areas as needed.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and physical assessment.
  • Proficient in using measuring tools accurately and reading basic blueprints.
